Bio
Hi. My name is Jeff Mondak. I am a poet and songwriter, writing mostly songs and poems for kids. I live in Champaign, Illinois with my wife, Damarys Canache, and our two sons, Ryan (age 16) and Christopher (15), and our dog Pelado, a Puli, who is 7.Ryan enjoys playing soccer and baseball. he also plays French horn in the concert band at hiss school, and guitar in a jazz band and jazz combo. Christopher plays upright bass in several jazz bands and orchestras. I have written poems for almost 20 years. I have written approximately 200 poems, some of which appear on this website. Check back from time to time to see my newest works. When not writing poetry, I am the James M. Benson Chair in the Department of Political Science at the University of Illinois.
