⋲ Poem of the Week ⋲
Oliver’s One-Man Band Oliver Oscar Octopus Is stirring the sea and the sand Ollie plays all of the instruments In “Oliver’s One-Man Band” Oliver’s tooting a tuba And crashing away on his drum Oliver’s plucking a banjo As all of his lobster friends hum Oliver bashes the cymbals While sawing the violin strings It sounds like a heavenly choir When Ollie the Octopus sings This song’s his famous finale, A tune called “The Tuna Got Canned” Now there’s a rousing ovation As Ollie’s eight arms get a hand! ~Jeff Mondak To hear this poem performed as a song by Bobby Maestas, click here. |
